    Silent Stalker

    Between fractured frames she watches
    glancing slyly at her prey
She wants to announce her mission
    Pounce between the billiards fray

He visits his beer, Dutifully unaware
The beads of condensation rolling into wet rings.
The table empty but for the water stains
    Casually conversing with his friends

Focused on the perfect shot, she taunts him
He does not notice her stare
    Transfixed upon his every breath
    he orders another beer

The words he speaks are empty
She will fill them with her wares
she stops to say hello, And envisions his embrace
He hugs her as a friend , unaware of her lace.

She knows his every thought and twitch
    she feels her own connection
    still waiting she will be
    to vye for his attention.

    One day he will notice,
    Stand up and pay attention
The thing she does not realize
is the cuffs are for her detention

    Once past the gravel

    Lazily crunching forward
    through the autumn leaves
    drifting down the message
Just telling ' let it be'

one foot forward and then the next
    my shoes they carry me
    I left behind the worries
    I left behind the pleas

Some where ahead it beckons me

    entices me to travel
it says the reward is everything
    once past the gravel

    forest opens up to reeds
    water for miles and
    the canoe waits impatiently
pole and tackle I clime aboard

    Paddle softly just offshore
a ridge under here, I know there is more
I plunk the line and sit back
true music sings to me as I set my hook

    Steady reeling, concentration
pull and strain as the rod bends
    scooping with the net
today I have truly earned my means.

    once past the gravel .

    The game and we

    when the sun goes down
you and I together can sing
    magical melodies and harmonies
with beauty and light shower we

    Sparkling dewdrops of passion
drip slowly down as we dance
    endless rhythms of love
with little more than air around us

    Breathing heavily together
panting like puppies playing in the heat
    tongues dancing like ribbons
    touching in the breeze

    we lay aside another hour
    and enjoy the musky scent
    and we take it slowly
    the game and we

    when the sun goes down
you and I together can sing
    magical melodies and harmonies
with beauty and light shower we

    Smiles

    Smile smolders beauty
like lava and the heat wisps
with echoed tears behind the eyes
    flickering sunsets on eh horizon

    soulful spirits search the sky
    like butterflies chasing fireflies
    magnetic attractions to the flame
engulf those that feel the pain

    smirks signal mischief
    hidden playfully behind brown eyes
    like kittens playing tag
    between bushes or tickled feet

generous grins echo on velvet lips
like seductive ear whisperings on a romantic evening
    touching softly the tell tales
tales of taboo nights and satin sheets

I always love reading your poetry and look at you on YouTube!! I was thinking about hopping on that bandwagon too. I've set up an account under the name realitygirl35 and put a few travel vids on there. I have a TON more but they're too big. Do you know how to change them to make them smaller to fit. Maybe put them in another file type??
Anyhow, keep on writing ~ your poetry is great, I love it!!
Hope you have a great weekend in our chilly city!!

certainly created clear imagery in my mind. 'silent stalker' was at once amusing, and a bit sad. things are not always what we think, ey? i especially liked the third stanza in 'the game and we'.

The 'Game & We' stands out although I've been silently stalked before.

The stalker was rather quite & still unknown to this day, or did I just imagine that, hmmm...

Been too long since I've come to read your words, always so enjoyable.  Partiuclarly like The Game and We this time round.  Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, since I'm forever trying to catch up and here it is January gone!

Stop by for a visit, welcome mats always out.  I've posted lots of beautiful vacation pictures you might enjoy.  Perhaps the pretty scenery will inspire you to write yet another poem.
